Nolan N30 Owners

I'm thinking about ordering one of these helmets (mostly due to all the great feedback I've read about them here) but can't decide on the proper size. My head falls in between med and large. I was wondering from you folks that have this helmet, does it run on the small side or large size compared to other helmets. For example, I have a Shoei RF1000 in med and it fits great. Nolan's sizing appears to be just a bit different than alot of the other brands, and looks like I may fall in the large category.

Also, does this helmet have a slim profile or does it make your head look like a mushroom? I want an open face helmet that has a slimmer profile so my head doesn't look goofy. I tried the ZR1 Jimmy Retro, but it didn't fit the shape of my head....it's a shame because I really liked the style and look of that helmet.

Thanks

Greg

I went to extremesupply.com (see sizing chart) which sells them and measured my head with measuring tape. I fell in the middle of Large and it fits good. I am a L in Shoei and a L for Nolan. My ears need to be tucked in, but it's a nice helmet. I'm not going to say it's the most comfortable helmet, but it's comfortable enough. They have a !00% exchangeable return.

I bought one for my Wife and she commented on how it was big, but all helmets are. It's similar to most helmets. I don't think it's overly big--just normal--like my Shoei. I like the way it looks. I love the latch. I'm happy I bought it. If you need a small profile helmet, you might be looking for a special helmet. Maybe a Davida Classic is what you want.

Just got the black one, and my wife likes it. Cooler in this hot weather we are having. It is a med. and it fits both of us. All my helmets are med(KBC full face and Fulmer Ranger) and I wear a 7 1/2 hat. My wife has a Scorpion full face, also med. and it fits me, too.
I ordered the red N30, the wife wants two for us. As the previous post said, all helmets are big, and not being full face may take time getting used to. It will be a good all season helmet and can be used when the weather gets colder here. I like the removable neck liner and the removable face shield.

Anyone know if they make dark visors for the Nolan N30?

Competition Accessories has them. But they are listed at both 29.99 and 33+. They have two links to find the price, and it comes up with 2 different prices, not a big deal.
I ordered one for the Red N30, my wife likes the smoked visors.

Thanks for all of your replies. From what Ray548 says, I guess I should probably go with a medium....my hat size is 7 3/8ish.

Thanks all.

Visor Removal

Just pull from the rear of the tab, it is slotted and does come off.
