Full Face Helmet for HOT weather?
Any suggestions on a good full-faced helmet that will still allow me to breathe in the hot Texas summers?

I currently have a Shoei RF 900 that I bought 5 years ago to match my Nighthawk, but a new bike ('01 Bonnie-Scarlet/Silver) means a new helmet...

...and I promised my wife I wont use an open-faced helmet....

have you considered scorpion?
i have a scorpion exo 700 and i was really surprised at how much airflow it has,you can actually feel the air blowing through the vents.i think it has 6 vents on it.i love it.and they are relatively inexpensive

If budget is no problem I've heard great things about the Shoei X11. I'm trying to find a cooler full faced helmet as well. The Shoei X11 has a really cool (pun intended) and unique venting system. If you go to youtube.com and search helmetharbor.com they have a product review discussing it.

I'm trying to find that elusive "perfect" helmet that vents well and still controls wind noise...which is tough. Another helmet I'm looking at are some of the Sharks. Then there is the Icon Airframe with the super-vent system. The Icon actually has a huge venting system attached to the top of the helmet which is designed to break away in case of a fall. I'm not sure this just is for "styling" or it really works. I've never run across one in the real world.

Hope that helps.

My HJC seems ok in the hot Iowa summers. It's a little loud, but the vents work well. I really like how it flips up.

+1 on the X11. I wear mine through the toasty AZ summers, sitting in traffic too. Cracking the face shield one notch helps supplement the already excellent ventilation of the helmet.

Givi X.01 is new
The Givi X.01 just came out and got a very good review in WebBikeWorld.

You'll have to buy it from a European source for now. About $400

In the California 100 deg heat last year I used my Schuberth C2 and it was good. the ventilation worked well and because the visor (shield) clicks forward slightly (normally for demisting) it allows a nice draught in around your face.
