I don't have one, but I am considering one as an option when I replace my aging RF1000 in the next year or so. If I get one, it will probably be next spring, so I hope somebody has something to say about them in the next six months or so.

I had a Shark S800, until I had the chance to properly test it. It was a good helmet, in my opinion. It was one of the lower end helmets that they produce. It fit well, the vents were very easy to operate, even in cold weather gloves, and the face shield was very easy to change. The only complaint that I had about it was that the wind noise seemed a little much, but I usually wear earplugs so it didn't bother me. When it stopped my skull from slapping the pavement, it did it's job very well. I had no concussion, and even though the face shield and vents blew off, the shell itself worked very nicely.

Just my $.02

Expensive
Hi guys,
I am not sure about the US of A but the Shark helmuts here in Australia are the top of the price tree.

I havent tried one because they are just so expensive here.

What are the US prices like Shawn?

The one I want is an "impressive sum", but I tend to go toward the upper-end when it comes to riding gear.

For example, a salesperson took out a RSR2 faceshield, put it on the floor and walked over it. Then stood on it while he was talking to me, it was lying them stretched flat on the floor and didn't break

You can find several reviews on it, but reviewers are sensitive to the price.

My shark helmet is 2 years old. Priced in the mid range down here. Compared to my other helmets it is very noisy, click on strap is forever coming loose and i have to turn my head further around to see as its field of vision is narrow. The positives are the quick release visor system. I am currently looking for a new helmet. $0.02.

Other Motorcycle: one is enough but I'd love a thruxton just to use for cafe racing.
Extra Motorcycle: nah
Ive got one
I've had my shark R5X for over a year now and find it quite good. I ride with various groups of motorbike riders most weekends and find Im the only one not wearing earplugs. Its a very quiet helmet and fits me very comfortably. The ventilation is good and the visor is very sturdy, easy to remove and clean. It has a nice graphic design in silver and blue..matching my bonny nicely.
The only negative is the lining tends to come away in spots and needs to be re-adjusted often. It's a mid priced helmet costing me about $550au.

I've got a RSi in Fusion silver. Bought it new and saved wearing it till a a two week trip I took to the Switzerland and Italian Alps. Result? Fantastic! Great fit for my head shape, lightweight and quiet. A first class lid ranking up there with Shoei, Arai, Suomy. If you're interested in an RSR2 here's website that carries them:
