Fog City "Hyper Optik" shield question.

Has anyone use one in their shields? It's an anti-fog inner shield that tints when in sunlight. According to my catalog they have a Arai only and Universal one. The operator had no idea if the universal would actually fit an HJC helmet shield. Does anyone know?

Should I get it?

Hiya,

Yes, I've got one in each of my Arai's. My previous Condor and my new GP5X.

Works like a charm in my experience.

Pretty quick to tint and recover as I found out in Spain a couple of weeks back travelling in and out of tunnels on twisty mountain passes.

The GP5X has a very fiddly (4 screws) visor changing system, unlike all the other full-face Arai's, so it had to be the Hyper-Optik or nothing really and so I went with the Universal one. I can't see why it wouldn't fir an HJC, unless the visor has a second curve.

Highly recommended - just take you time when fitting it, like any FogCity.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered one from Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse. www.mawonline.com

A little pricey, but all the other places I looked never seemed to have them in stock.

BTw, it works well. Not too dark, and pretty clear in the dark.
