I have an HJC Symax flip front full face helmet and an HJC CL13 FF.

The flip front has alot more interior room around the jaw and nose and has less of claustrophic feel to it.

FWIW you'll get more bugs in your teeth with an open face helmet in combination with riding a Triumph but....... also I have come off and wiped off the chin bar on a full face helmet.

It would have been my chin if I had an open face !!

Steven, a friend of mine (a Victory rider) insists on wearing a soup bowl helmet. Last Saturday, he was going for an early morning ride. He saw a large dog on the shoulder of the road, but the dog moved away from the pavement, then at the last moment darted directly in his path. My buddy went over the handlebars. I should mention he was wearing a light (non-armored) jacket. The result was a fractured shoulder blade, collar bone, five broken ribs and a punctured lung. He also suffered some nasty road rash on the right side of his face.

ATGATT may seem trite and boring, but if he had been wearing the proper gear, manyt of his injuries would have been avoided.

I wear modular helmets. You can flip up the whole front at lower speeds, you can ride with the shield open at any speed and you have the protection of a full-face helmet. I would recommend a modular (or flip up) to anyone...although my buddy says he's sticking with his soup bowl.

Only wear a full face if you want to protect your face.

More than 2/3's of accidents that result in impact to a helmet are on the part not covered by an open face helmet.

I'm fond of my face arranged the way it is, thanks.

Which helmet would you rather be wearing while sliding down the road? I wear full faced.

stick with a good closed face. Most will allow you lock the visor slightly open so you even get a nice breeze if it's too hot. Plus many are so lite now you barely notice them once they're on.

Open for me. Lightest possible and least wind resistant is best for my neck.
I don't crash.

Now there's kind of a dangerous attitude. I mean, it's normally not the guy on the bike who screwed up. you may not crash, but someone can crash you. but to each his own. I'm fine with people not wearing a lid at all so anything is better then nothing.
