Just got it,
not to bad sizes run tight *(at least for me)- I should have gotten a Med-
and I sure cant return it cause I ripped off the neck gator and ground down the foam!!!!
Ill order a med and play w/ this one.
any one here mil??
I plan on using ACH pads If ican find em

I'd think the ACH pads would sort of void the DOT cert...our Kevlars aren't really made for blunt impacts. Now if you could get ahold of liners for the flight helmets, you might still be voiding the DOT, but still have good impact protection.

Oh and I wear an HCI 100 leather-covered, and it's great. Doesn't seem to have the wind trying to rip it off like some other shortys. One of the lower-profile DOT shorty out there too, without getting to the really expensive stuff.

rogger that Rex -I ll check on the aviator pads- I am actualy happy w/ the bucket now-
heres how it went-
I recieved my helmet , tore open box examined carefuly,nice flat sheen finish! too tight **** should a gotta a med- no problem a grinder cant fif, "pleather ear flaps -- riped off, checkered race stripe painted on,
now I put the helmet on and look in the mirror- what the----??? sand off checkers re paint satin blk- put it back on.
somthing looks od dosent feel right. re attach ear flap, not so bad . strap on goggles like the feel, go for a ride-
I would recomend the retro 50 to any one, now mine looks old and weathered, gotta love ambition
