WeeWilly Face Shield Cleaner

First off- ignore the corny name.

I found this product when looking for some bike related father's day presents. I got one myself, and I must throw down a positive review for it.

It is basically a bottle of lens cleaner & lens polishing cloth in a small bag. No big deal there, but what's handy about it is the bottle has little chassis around it that on one side has a sponge, and on the other a 2" rubber squeegee blade. Those two appendages make this pretty handy for face shield cleaning at gas stations or other rest stops on your trip. Once the bottle is empty, you can just refill it with Windex, or your favorite cleaning solution. The first ride I took it on I was sold. It's small enough to fit in your pocket, or takes up little space in a tail/tank bag. Spray it up and you can use the sponge and squeegee to get all the splattered bugs off with ease.

Their site is here: http://www.weewilly.com/ but when I tried to buy one from there the paypal shop was broken.

I haven't seen it in too many places, but I got mine from CA Sport Touring:

This has also been reviewed on webbikeworld if you want a second opinion:

Cheers,

Cool little bottle. I generally use spit. It's free and comes with a handy carrying package.

Aerostitch has a variant on this that is functionally identical. The nice tip they have on their web site is that a drop or two of dish soap, then topping up the bottle gives a good cleaning solution. That saves money on the overpriced 'replenishment kit'

I've had the Aerostitch version for a couple of years now, and don't honestly know how I'd live without it.

It's the small travel size Plexus spray and a small microfiber cloth for me. Plexus is fine stuff.

I've always found plain water and a thumb nail works fine.

I use what was suggested for my shoei shield. I use a few drops of dish soap in water with a microfiber cloth. It works great, I went to the dollar store and bought a small spray bottle that fits nicely in my tank bag.
