FWIW, all new NEXX helmets come with the quick-release visor as standard. Any you find that don't are "old stock", and you might be able to haggle...

For reference, federal spec for helmet peripheral vision is 105* to each side. Most people's peripheral vision is 90* to each side.

I didn't read the whole thread but I can tell you that I own the hjc is-16. It's great for all around vision. Also for under $200 you get a nice comfortable quiet helmet, well built with good ventilation, a breath guard and a chin webbing. Not to mention the quick retractable sun shade. It's an awesome helmet. Much better visibility than my old scorpion exo-400. Also because it's more oval and less round than the scorpion, it seems to fit me better and doesn't rip my ears off when removing it like the scorpion.

I've got a Shoei XR-1100, or RF-1100 as they call it in America, and the peripheral is great on that. Much better than my old shark RSX

Congrats man. It always comes down to what works for YOU. For me it's an Arai RX-Q

Arai!!!

I worked at a local BMW shop for years, and have handled almost every model of helmet. There is no doubt in my mind that the new series of Arai helmets are the best on the market for vision. They are also very light weight and well constructed. They are well worth the money! If price is a concern, look at the HJC RPS-10.

Best Full Face Helmet for Peripheral Vision?

I was recently in the market for a new helmet. After extensive research and several opportunities to sample popular helmets (shoei, aria, scorpion, htc, etc) I purchased a Nexx helmet. Nexx has BY FAR the BEST peripheral vision of any helmet available today. That and it's one of the lightest helmets ever built. You put one on and you forget its there. You will not find lighter helmet with a larger viewing angle than a Nexx!!!!

Which Nexx did you get? I've still got my eye on an XR1R in the green cafe racer style...
