Cromwell or not

Yep it's another helmet thread.
I have been keen to buy a classic looking lid for a while, I have at present a Shoei XR1000 and a Shoei Platinum which I wear with Halcyon goggles but I would like something more British. the Davida helmets look great but do not fit me at all even after trying several times to convince myself that it was me not the helmet.
We do have available in NZ the Cromwell range and I would like some comment on how they fit, if they are noisey and if the strap is a problem. Probably people with Momo's could comment on the strap as well cause it seems to attach differently to most helmets I have owned, that is the cromwell strap doesn't come from inside the helmet but outside the padding.Probably not an issue but definitely different.

Thumbs up I've got one

I have the Cromwell Hurricane and I love it. It's a beautiful helmet, very light, and I think is pretty good at keeping noise out of your ears (at lease better than my Nolan). The strap is not an issue once you get used to it coming at a lesser angle accross your chin to tighten up. The big issue with the strap is the chin pad that is constantly falling off, so be carefull with that. The other thing is the inside material seems Ok, but certainly not high tech and there aren't any vents, although they are not really needed as it's open face and not really even a 3/4 helmet. Even though I love it, the one stinker I'm having is my eyes seem to water up over 80 mph. The front shield is a bit small and I think the wind gets up underneath and creates havoc with my eyes and nose. I currently wear glasses that probably do not help. I think either goggles or some good coverage sunglasses (wrap type) might be in order. This is my biggest complaint. But in the end the style and beauty outweigh the substance.
