Wow, you probably wouldn't enjoy being around me then. I don't do wheelies, but do go fast on a plastic-wrapped bike wearing expensive gear.
There are a few Harley riders that can't get past the attitude, but most will either participate or initiate conversations with me. Initially I thought it because of the bike I was riding, but people can generally tell when you're the type of person that will be easy to talk to.
The same goes for the younger crowd, which is a growing number of riders these days
In any case, consider being less concerned about what others buy and ride and just enjoy yourself. If a immature individual wants to buy the latest R1/Gixxer/CBR and die young doing something stupid,
that is their choice. All we can do is share how great it is to ride safe for as long as you can.
The same goes for appearances or customization. If someone wants to do outlandish modifications on their bike at a cost that may be beyond their means, I'd say
more power to em! As long as they are happy with their decision.
Hope this helps.
