Bonnie Owners Forum to the Twin Technical Forum?
Shawn, is there anyway that you could please rename the Bonnie Owners Forum to the Twin Technical Forum? I believe members are confused about what goes where. Monte is pulling his hair out over there moving threads that aren't technically related. I think it would avoid ALLOT of confusion of what goes where and it would keep good housekeeping.

Example: I think that a member would know not to post a question about boots in a technical forum if it's labeled that way.

Thanks,
Greg

Questions about boots maybe should be posted to the Gear and Gadget forum anyway?

I agree that a 'rename' would be a benefit.

I like Greg's idea and have supported calling it something along the lines he recommends. A lot of the people still also think that it does not include the spin off specialty twins. You can find that it does if you read the fine prlnt, but most guys just go straight to it and never see the fine print. I think that is why we get a lot of Thrux and Scram tech questions asked still in THO. Which I then move into the Tech forum.

Fine print is what got me in trouble when I said "I Do" to the little lady. Now I try to read it carefully. But being of masculine tendencies, I still avoid the fine print by habit.

+1 on rename.

(Keep up the good work)

Agreed, a rename sounds like a very good idea.

Personally, back when several other folks were campaigning for separate forums for the Thrux, Speedmaster, etc., I was hoping for a separate forum so those of us with centennial year Bonnies (outfitted with the sky blue tanks and gold striping) wouldn't have to associate with commoners who have other years or colors of the basic Bonneville.

But since democracy prevailed and the whole Twins family now co-exists in peace, unity, and brotherhood, a name that reflects the more inclusive spirit probably would be helpful.

John: I am going to release a forum I set aside about ten years ago for all three of your royal highnesses on Lycos. Almost no one goes there anymore and you can each start your own web site to go along with your forum and, of course, blogs are free as well. No one reads those either, so you should be well protected from the riff-raff. I know how insufferable it can be to have to rub elbows with commoners. Hope you appreciate my efforts and will remember me when you succeed your father on the throne.

Is not jealousy the best form of flattery. You know the black bonnies are the fastest! But, yeah a name change will also help the BA and SMs feel more at home IMO. I know they are the "Bonnie" family, but they have been branded different be both standard bonnies and themselves at times. This way a new member will not get confused too.

That's not a problem, but I won't be able to do it until this weekend. I'll have to put Rat.Net into maintenance mode for a short while, but I was planning to do it anyway for another purpose.

If you could help me with the Specific Name/Description I'd appreciate it.

Twins Technical Talk

Simple. To the point.

Then list the bikes involved in the sub-head:

"Technical talk regarding Hinckley Triumph Twins: Bonneville, Speedmaster; Bonneville America; Thruxton and Scrambler.

Is that about right????

That should clear things up a bit. Sounds great
