Question Thrux owner a little confused by forum change

Some say that I live in a state of confusion, but I'm a little more confused by the recent changes. I agree that some changes were needed to defragment the site and they've been done quite well. Personally, I don't feel that I need (or want) to be segregated from the Bonnie and Scrambler boys (and girls, sorry). The Bonnie Owners forum under Twin Talk is ideal, as it brings together all the Bonnie range for tech stuff, upgrades, questions etc. Bravo, I think it's the right move.

However, Club Cafe languishing under Classics and Cruisers is confusing. I know that the Cafe isn't solely a Thruxton hang-out, but the vast majority of posts there seem to be Thruxton oriented. My usual habit was to go into the Cafe, then to Bonnie owners, then BHO (if I was in the mood)... and then check all new posts to see if anything jumped out at me.

If the Thruxton tech stuff is now over in the Bonnie Owner's Forum, then what's meant to be in the Cafe now? I actually like the changes, and I'm just as interested in the other Bonnies, but if all the Thrux owners now move their tech posts over to BOF, the Cafe will become very sparsely populated (crickets chirping and tumbleweed blowing down the street).

... or did I misunderstand?

Oh... poo! I think I just posted this in the wrong forum, but I guess I'm soliciting the views of the other Club Cafe patrons... so I guess it's valid?

Personally?
I wish that more tech stuff came this way.
I tend to stay out of the Biker hangout ( too much b.s.) & the Bonnie forums (too much info too wade through....too many cooks? so to speak?).

In the end I will go to where the info that I need is......

ehh what do I know.

ahh ... I got tired of trying to figure this forum's substructure out - I too pointed out how ignorant it was to have the club cafe (for Thruxtons) under the classic/cruisers area. It's set up and labeled like a drunk monkey did it.

wonder how many demerit points I'll get for this one?

The Club Cafe Forum was setup at a time when Bonnies were still a new model and most Triumph Cafe Racers were built upon the TBird Sport frame or other variants from older bikes.

We added the word "Thruxton" in this forums description because the first owners of the new model wanted to be a part of the Cafe Racer community.

It wouldn't be an issue to remove "Thruxton" from this forum's description and put it in the Bonnie Owners Forum.

Bonafide, we still love ya man

+1 here - to many threads over there on oil changing, chain lubing, then you get some strange stuff like "do I need to rotate the air in my forks so they don't vapor lock"??. Whats worse you actually get people answering cra p like that.

I guess its kinda hard to deside what should go where.maybe something like have a mod forum for engine and handleing A forum for maintance and trouble shooting and a forum for just talking about fun with our bikes and life with others.dont split up bonnies ,Thruxton, scrams OR crusers as long as they are bonnies.
Just a idea dont know if it would work.

I was trying to find a gentle way of stating that...don't want any demerits...I understand that people have questions...the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask yadayada......& the search function on ANY website usually ain't that great.

I would like to continue to be able to mention/see other bikes & projects over here....... from people who are not shy about hacking on something & have crazy ideas rolling around in their heads.......

It is kind of a built in filter over in these neck of the woods......but I am only one person & have about that much say in anything.
