Well, whatever you do - dont point out their age or profession to a third party. That's worth 3 demerits and limited access to a ridiculously over-moderated forum.

HA!
I discovered the demerit system for the first time not too long ago...
I felt like a 2 year old....& got spanked like one.

Ooops, did I point out someones age?????
Oh wait...that is my age.

It is peaceful & calming over here...........

I don’t generally post or read in the BOF or Twin Talk because there seems to be quite a bit of BS going on over there.

I like the club café because everybody seems to be pretty cool and sedate. You rarely ever see a flame war or people talking about booking flights so they can duke it out face to face.

Now granted I don’t post all that much but that doesn’t mean I'm not here reading every day. As somebody already stated I really don’t want to have to sift through a bunch of useless info or threats from some 17 year old who just got his Black Belt from the official Chuck Norris correspondence course.

I dont see a bunch of threats over there. Not sayin it aint happening - heck, this IS the internet. Which to me, is nothing more than the CB radio of a new generation. But the Twins have more of an older rider base. I'm sure the S3 or Day675 section might have something like that - but I just dont see it in the Twins area much.

I do see a BUNCH of useless bologna, same questions/threads/icantfindthesearchfeature BS, and let's not forget the kindergarden style moderation. My fav is when I see a totally useless thread and the first three to respond to it are postwhores who somehow managed to convince someone around here to make them moderators.

Bonafide, there is a Site Happenings Forum just been established where you can air your views in respectable manner.

We're all reasonable people around here despite what you may think.

Like surferjo, I don't post much either, but I certainly do read everything.
I'm new to Triumphs and motorcycles in general, but there are people in the Club Cafe who know quite a bit and will answer questions more directly. It makes for easier reading.

In all honesty, I didn't notice the changes. I visited the BOF once and found nothing I wanted to read, so I never went back.

I would like to see someone address mjs****ord's complaint. The "naughty language filter" is stupid, childish, it messes up the flow of people's posts and any information they are trying to share.
**** censorship.
There I said it.

Look what the NLF did to his name!
I rest my case.

I definitely get the gist of what you are saying & see the humour in it...
And I agree with Bonafides POV as well.

I managed to go from "Zero to Irritated " in about 5 seconds on the biker hangout trying to talk about some new bike that was coming out & after about 50 posts of the same lame comments & weird little attacks ....I couldn't handle it anymore.
(Apparently there cant be too many of the same threads in any forum at one time......so it got merged over there.)
(Moderators: I am not trying to stir up ANYTHING I am just pointing out what I perceive.)

In Tbirdnz defense as a moderator (as I dont actually know him personally).....He handled my issues very diplomatically & is quite personable on the emails & information superdriveway.

While I definitely have some issues with this site......I love the no BS attitude in the forum.
And dig how it is self policing.
