Request for new 'ontopic' made in Thailand thread.
Request for new 'ontopic' made in Thailand thread.

I can understand that there was probably a need to terminate the old Thai thread due to the many off topic posts that where allowed to distract from the topic. However the issue is a major topic of ongoing concern for some owners. It is also a way of discussing and finding out the truth to counter the lies still put out by some dishonest salesmen and to consider options. Other threads are policed effectively for staying on topic, a policy I feel that was not given the same treatment on the Thai thread, one only needs to look at the many off topic posts made by moderators.

I believe that the issue was not treated seriously by many on the board. If you read carefully through the topic most posters of the 'I can't believe you guys are upset by this issue' where overwhelmingly owners of British made Triumphs.

This is an important Issue for some members, please let us have our voice.

After the thread running for 54 pages, I am sure that the subject had had its fair share of comments which is why the forum moderator closed it down, with the comment that any further questions should be referred to the existing thread.

G'day Wombat

"that any further questions should be referred to the existing thread."

I am not sure how to do this because the thread has been closed? More than probable that I just don't understand what it actually means.

Issues or discussions that I would like to raise and that have not been 'dealt with' on that thread include ideas on the creation of a petition or such like for Triumph to import both 'bikes' with the option of paying a premium for British built versions. Also the collection of more info on identification of Thailand built triumphs in markets other than the USA. How to deal with 'grey' imports direct from the UK and the implications of such bikes on unsuspecting buyers .

Now I don't rally want to start several threads because I am guessing it may be policy to group them together and my intention is not to create work / or problems for the Mods.

Advice, clear guidance and a chance for discussion please!

StaggerLee, it would have been much better to just post that you wanted to express your opinion on the subject.

Looks like you owe some folks an apology.
