There isn't an automated way to easily show how user/post ranks are setup, so I've started a document in the blogs that will have it:

Hi, I'm new to the site and not very concerned with rank. However, I was just wondering whether rank refers to how many times one logs on or how many posts one makes.

By the way, I have a '02 red and silver TBA which I just purchased a couple months ago in Italy (I'm here for the year on business). This is the first "new" bike I've ever owned -- and I love it! -- as I've always tended to ride classics and vintage machines. Back in Rochester, NY, the youngest in the garage is a '74 Trident. Glad to be a part of this forum!

To answer your question, the rank refers to the numbers of actual posts you make.
