TriumphRat.Net was taken down for a short while this evening to implement several software-based optimzations:
- Most of the URLs on TriumphRat.Net have been reformatted to make it easier for search engines, social networking sites, and other blogs to link to Rat.Net.
- All posts have a few extra icons on the lower-left corner that allows one to add it to one of several link sites. If there is a particular link service (or social networking site) you use that isn't listed, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
- Several template optimizations have been done, for quicker browser loading (makes the site faster).
- I've also implemented a new server caching system. Since the recent portal core upgrade, things have improved greatly but I thought it would be good to implement an additional software-based accelerator.
This particular project was planned before the migration of TriumphRat.Net from the old portal platform. It's good to see it finally enabled.
Although there is a speed improvement, the best browsing results are still with either
Mozilla Firefox or
Opera Web Browsers.
