This isn't a recommendation, product review, or requirement; but I've found this tool effective at cleaning up issues on my Windows PCs and helping them run efficiently. It's free, but the developer takes donations.

Disclaimer: Removing Temporary Files and editing your Registry is serious business. One wrong move and your PC could be a DEAD BRICK. If you aren't comfortable with Windows Administration, engage a professional.

I view this site regularly. Access times untill yesterday were not brilliant but acceptable. With the new face lifted site access times are very slow. I have only looked twice but the delay is considerable since the upgrade. I enjoy the site and am in gratitude for those who maintain it. However if the access times remain as slow as they currently are I will probably drift away from regular use and contact. A pity because I really like the site.

Performance better today thankfully. Yesterday it was only this site that was slow. I sometimes like to be critical of Bill Gates, perhaps that was what the problem was yesterday.

The server admin team is working through it. As you stated, there does seem to be an improvement today but I'm confident that it will continue to improve as they work through the new system.
