Triumph is a very small manufacturer, so many professional techs learned on other bikes.
Many shops (but not all) hire techs on an A, B, or C basis, depending on their expertise. A larger dealer will have a couple of highly experienced expert Triumph techs, and most of the training will occur in-house as the tech progresses.
As new models are introduced, their will be tech schools put on by Triumph in various locations, and the savvy dealer will spend the money to send a tech to each one. It is not an easy road, and I cannot say you will ever become wealthy, as all jobs in motorsports, as far as I can tell, seem to pay less than in similar fields.
But - you do get to spend all day being around motorcycles, and that is a tremendous draw for the people who enjoy working in the business.
