I've only joined recently. Since it was free why not? I assume we get the magazine as part of the free membership. What about Patches etc. I think these used to come with a new paid membership. Will those be available for purchase in the future? Anyone know?

According to the autumn issue of Torque, those are available by request. Send a self addressed stamped envelope with your request, to the RAT coordinator in Newnan, GA.

I think those were old leftovers, not the new ones?

Couldn't say for sure. Neil Webster noted in his column that most members don't use the pins, while some consider them an important part of membership. In describing the new scheme of things, he simply wrote: "Regalia (pins and patches) will be available. All you have to do is send a stamped addressed envelope to your regional RAT coordinator."
I take "will be" to mean ongoing, but haven't tested the theory yet.
(Now, the closeout ad in the same issue for the other RAT merchandise, from the supplier in Roswell, Georgia, certainly sounded as if there won't be any more of the RAT shirts, mugs, etc. for sale; but that was a separate operation anyway.)

According to the RAT FAQ on the Triumph USA web site, the pins and patches for 2006 are available on request. However, this is the last year that they will be offered. So you may be able to get something for nothing, just not pins and patches.

Hi, I just received my 2006 RAT patch & pin. I just wrote a note including my member # and included self addressed stamped envelope. They are rectangle shaped not triangular like previous years. I hope Triumph decides to keep making the patches & pins beyond 2006. Ride Safe!
