Per Matt Weinert RAT Coordinator for North America:

From now on, membership in R.A.T. will be FREE to ALL those who own a Hinckley Triumphs.

Many of you may have noticed that we had stopped taking payments some time back. This means as long as you own
a Hinckley Triumph, and are a member, you will receive Torque magazine for free!

Expect to see the latest edition of Torque magazine very soon if you already havent. There will be some additional infomation about the program, as well as a first look at some very cool machinery

More information will be coming very soon, so just hold tight.

Thanks for everything, and see you out on the road.

When you get the new Torque (the one with the great pictures of the new Daytona 675), you'll find more info. If I remember correctly, it will most likely be January before all the infrastructure is in place for the new procedures.

Until the new Web registration page is available, they said they are automatically extending all RAT memberships due to expire from July through this fall until December.

By the way, Neil Webster says renewal can be handled by the website or at your dealer. No more notices for them to mail or for us to return.

It's also worth noting that the free RAT membership will not automatically include the annual pin, patch and sticker, which apparently a relatively small percentage of folks wanted. They'll still be available, but you'll need to return a stamped, addressed envelope to the regional coordinator if you want them.

So what I understand ,I can go to my local Triumph dealership and re-sign up for the RAT club.
I then will receive the RAT rag and be a member in good standing...

I understand that they are also adding a lot of sponsored day raids, which is nice but they are all on Sunday, which sucks, as there are some of us who cannot ride on Sunday-why not have a Saturday once in a while? :???:

Yeah, well don't believe everything you read. A big part of RAT requires grass roots effort, and it is therefore largely what you make of it. Triumph will give you all the support you need if you take a small amount of initiative.

Some folks are going to whine, because many people here in the States think we live in Disneyland, and everything is supposed to arrive at your doorstep pre-packaged and ready to enjoy. These folks come to places like this to complain, because it is easier to do that than to go out and make a difference.

All new memberships in 2006 will be free. You can go ahead and sign up on line starting in January. If you don't have a pack in your area, Triumph will help you get one going.

Is this just for renewals or does it include new memberships? I never joined because of the flak I was reading about here.

Thanks for the reply.

We just had a group meet in Austin about starting a RAT. Figure if there is enough interest, we'll go to our local dealership. Meanwhile, we're checking out RAT websites to see what activities seem to work.
