I've owned a 99 Legend new in 2001. I love it still and it runs great. I try to spend as much time as possible upon it getting my fill. Started to receive the RAT publication for a couple of years. I was even was a rider in Triumph's Ride Across America in 02 and the leading American CEO rider didn't know north from south. It was dangerous at times. Saw that Triumph was going to change the look and content of the magazine. Received maybe two then nothing. Now, I have worked as a commercial photographer for over 30 years and believe me I've seen them come and go. I'm still a survivor in this crap filled economy. Truimph having recovered from the dead was a truly remarkable event. I grew up seeing these iconic machines and wishing I might some day own one. But never have I seen a company with an already great history screw up it's chance in the US of A market place as miserably as Triumph. I'm happy to see that they have added new models, though the new T- Bird is a sad replacement for the 90's triple. The publication was a good idea to keep new and loyal riders... loyal. I would be happy to help the corporate heads, if you might be reading anything from this site, to increase your market share of the biking experience. Yes it was probably money that caused the publication to evaporate. Paper is very pricey these days. Note not everyone has a computer, if the men in suits are thinking they'll put the magazine on line. They almost had it right the first time in the late 90's. All they had to do was talk with the readers. Your customers are... usually right. Is listening so hard to do? I have no issues with the product but the support to owners on a few levels, could be improved. My 2 cents.
