R-AID - Rat Aid - New Resource for Triumph Riders in the U.S.
Announcing a new area on Triumph RAT to share info on geographical resources willing to help other riders in need!
"R-AID" stands for RAT Aid. Find yourself in a bind? Have a flat tire, out of gas, lost, or broken down? This is a grass roots list of members who are willing to lend you a hand.
Forums are structured by geographical regions in North America:
Region 1 - RAT Northeast - ME, NH, NY, VT, CT, RI, MA, PA, DE, NJ, QC, NF
Region 2 - RAT Southeast - MD, VA, WV, NC, TN, KY, SC, GA, FL, AL, DC
Region 3 - RAT Upper Midwest - OH, IN, IL, MI, WI, MN, ND, SD, IA, MO, NE, CO, KS, SK, MB, ON
Region 4 - RAT Mid South - LA, AR, MS, TX, OK
Region 5 - RAT Northwest - WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, BC, AB
Region 6 - RAT Southwest - NM, NV, UT, CA, AZ
Region 7 - RAT Outer Territories - AK, HI, PR
Based on how well this concept takes, we may try it in other regions. So, if you are willing to help out your fellow RATs, post up!
Find it here !

This is a great idea. I know that someone on the FJR side has a list that is maintained in an excel spreadsheet and is periodically updated. This is handy for carrying with you on a trip.

I agree. This is a great idea. I was part of a list like this years ago for British sportscars and it was very successful.

Good idea, but.....
BMWOA has been doing this for years-they publish a book every year (at least they used to) but it turned into people abusing the system -always some jerks tryng to get something for nothing. I had people from my home town trying to get free parts and tire repairs etc......then I had a guy who wrecked his bike and I gave him some like new parts to fix his bike and he sent me some junk back--I am not in. Burned in B'ham

Yep, exactly where the idea came from - except with a British flair...

Hmmm, HiVel - a far departure from pulling someone out of the ditch to giving away stuff. It's best to use conservative judgement in those situations, but that is often a very tough call! I have been very thankful over the years for the help provided by my fellow motorcycle riders, and try to reciprocate whenever possible. To each his own! We should all strive to "pay it forward", IMHO...
Another point to make, this is not an area for advertising businesses and services. It is for riders helping other riders.

Thanks for the note! If you are having issues, I'm sure others are also...
The rules thread is closed, but not the sub forum. You should post a new topic in the main sub forum.
http://www.triumphrat.net/region-6-rat-southwest/
Select the "new thread" button.
By the way, I would think that every active North American RAT pack that is not dysfunctional should want a post up/shout out in here - offering to help fellow RATs coming through!
