Bluetooth Headset with Radar detector capabilities
I thought I'd start a new thread since none of the others mentioned the ability to interface a radar detector. I'm looking for stereo, GPS, telephone, intercom and radar detector. Am I asking too much? Can't find the Radar option.
Cheers........Phil

Back to basics here. The original thread was seeking a Helmet Intercom that is BLUETOOTH and can interface with other items such as RD, Cell phone, GPS etc...
Any help appreciated. Still have not found a solution.
Thanks...........phil

Mr
V-Can do one that has Bluetooth.. but, I dont think any bluetooth devices can connect to multiple devices?? if that makes sense, the helmet could connect to your phone OR the GPS.
But not both at same time.

I'm using a MixIt2 w/bluetooth stereo dongle(transmitter) plugged into its output jack. Into the inputs I run my detector output, along w/ any three other inputs I want such as my gps/mp3/pda(garmin iQue 3600) which does double duty since it auto mutes the mp3 whenever gps audio interrupts, my XM sat radio(Roady2 or XT), FRS/GPRS walkietalkie, etc.
I then pair any of several BT stereo receivers, such as my Sony HCH 220, Philips Vox 340, etc. with the dongle, and presto wireless stereo to my helmet via the earplugs from the BT receiver. I can simultaneously pair the BT receiver w/my Sony w580 Walkman phone and have cell phone connected and/or listen to it's mp3 or FM radio.
to speak and transmit, I have to move the BT unit into my helmet so it's mic can pick up my voice.
normally, I do not want to answer the phone when riding, so I don't try to use the mic feature while riding but can still monitor calls received. I can however use it for bike to bike and/or for intercom to a pillion if wanted- again, I seldom do this.
I do not get any static or interference from the bike electrics since the MixIt is hardwired via it's filter.
I find it's an adequate and versatile set up, pretty cheap, easily reconfigured or moved to another bike, etc. I also find that with good noise isolating earphone plugs, I get excellent amplified and filtered sound with great fidelity for music.
The detector input of the MixIt has a master override feature and mutes all other inputs whenever an alert comes in. I use an Escort 9500ix which produces almost no false alerts at all, while also providing gps based speed readout and detects a wide range of speed and traffic devices.

The Nolan/J&M solution can pair to 7 devices at the same time, that is the 277 version. It also has a dongle for most bikes to hook into its intercom funtions. IE GL1800's.
But its biggest feature is the N103 BT unit has a 1700mah batt. that means it can play music for 30 hours with out a recharge.

This is what I was looking for, thank you.
Where do you purchase these units?
What headset do you use with it and can you more clearly explain how to hook up the telephone as this is a feature I would like to use.
Thanks..........Phil
