VersaHaul

I carried my Bonnie 833 miles on one of these last week. It worked very well.

Just thought I'd share that.

How much side to side sway (from the pickup's perspective, meaning Bonnie tires moving up and down in height with respect to the ground) is there? My bike rack fits into my hitch and the thing sways back and forth a couple of inches....if the motorcycle did that I'd be nervous!

Ya, I've been looking at the VersaHaul. Good to hear a positive real life experience.

I used to haul my race bike that way before I had a trailer. To stop the rack from swaying in the hitch, I would just run a tie-down from the bike to the frame of the truck. That would secure the rack in the hitch and it rode great.

Does anybody have a pic of their bike on a VersaHaul? I just purchased a 09 America (first bike ) and am looking for a way to transport it behind the truck when traveling.

Moto-Tote actually...

I've got a Moto-tote... managed from Pittsburgh, Pa to Monterey, Ca and back... not too shabby. I won't lie, it was a bit unnerving to see the bike back there when I looked in the rear view, but I made it with no problems. That being said, it may have just been me being paranoid, but I did try to take sharp turns slow and make sure I took my time accelerating and braking, but I think most would do the same with a trailer.
This is the best pic I have of the bike on my Moto-Tote....
