Heated Grip question.

The tight side grip is alot hotter then the left side. Is this normal.

That's because the left side is directly on the bar (clipon, etc). The metal absorbs heat a lot more quickly than the plastic throttle tube.

Take off the left grip, and wrap the bar with silicone heat resistant tape. You can get it at at elecronic parts store like Radio Shack.
It will prevent the bar from acting as a heat sink, and will make the grip much more toasty.

Yeah, you need to insulate the clutch side.
