Question Need a riding glasses recomendation

G'day all.
I use a full face helmet and am looking to upgrade the sun glasses I wear.
I am hoping for some recomendations on type of glasses as well as supplier that ships to Australia.
I had a look at the Wiley X range at the Melbourne Motorcycle Expo but didn't have anything to compare with price wise. I've only ever worn standard sunglasses which are crap for riding. Bugs, dust and grit get around the lens and they're not impact resistant.

With the Aussie dollar chasing the US dollar I can now afford to bump up my budget to USD$150

Thanks in advance.

Glasses

If you use a full face clear shield- go for transition lenses. Wil cover all night & day. If not? I use a thing called vista shield. Works great. Can change the lenses in minutes. Its an eye & nose cover thing w/ visor. I wear trans lenses under. The nicw thing about vista is you can look under it @ nite & see road & guages etcwell. Good for rain too. I dontlike full face shield cept in the winter cold. Too claustrophobic!! Full face helmet gives me a closed in feeling as well. I do a 3/4 & its VERY comfortable. The vista took me a year to find. well worth the wait tho. Took a while getting used to being ableto see under it, but now cant ride w/o!~ It was only $14 I think? Good luck .

I wear the transition lenses with a full face helmet. Sometimes there is not enough sun to darken them as much as I would like. I have just ordered a pair of Neutral Gray Polarized lenses which should do the job properly. The polarization will eliminate most glare and reflected light.

polarized lenses will give you fits behind a plastic shield. I love polarized lenses but they really don't work well behind plastic. You'll see what I mean, I think, when you try them. The polarization works on whatever light comes into the lenses but the shield distorts the polarity of the light, so you get distorted, annoying color shift patterns on everything you look at. I'd keep shopping if I were you.

Polarized is brilliant for anything else though, and probably worth keeping even if not for use with a face shield.

If they don't work I can always use them in the cage where the transitions don't work great either. Also great for fishing. Besides, these aren't costing me anything.

I wear polarized lenses with a full face helmet (Arai) in the bright California sun and have no problems.
