I looked into the molded earplugs to go with My Zumo as well but thought they were too expensive. I went with these http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/epcomp.aspx the ER6. They come with several different tips. I prefer the foam ones, similar to the typical foam earplugs commonly used. You just squeeze them to compress them and they expand in your ear canal.

They sound pretty good, could use more base but that's pretty common for all the small in ear speakers I've used. they do seal up well and keep the wind noise down.

Hope that helps.

I've used custom moulded ear plugs for some years now. I have a set with and a set without speakers. They work perfectly. Because they are moulded to the shape of your ear canal there's no internal pressure (like a foam one trying to expand) so they are really comfortable for long periods. They can be a little pricey but IMO they're well worth it.

If you're going to the expense of custom molds for earspeakers it seems silly to set them up around a crappy set of earbuds like Koss or iPod earbuds...

Sennheiser makes a (half) decent set that don't go in the ear at all for ~$25USD - that seems like a minimum of quality to me...

Not trying to bash on anyone here just MHO.

I use RaceQuiet earphones- http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/raiseawihepr.html
I find they reduce background sound and wind noise just fine, and because the sound is directed into your ear canal you get to hear everything. For reference I did a 330mile trip with them in under my Davida open face and for the 6 hours they were in (we were staying off motorways) they were fine. Even at speeds up to 120mph *ahem private roads.
I know they are a lot chepaer than proper moulded plugs/phones, but they come with two different sizes of plug and you can buy replacement plugs.

Try a gun show. At least one vendor will be making ear plugs (same kind of two part deal) and see if they will work with you on the speakers.
