Scorpio Motorcycle Alarms

Does anyone here have any consumer experience with Scorpio alarms? If so, did you get the FM 2-way system? Was it worth the money?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have any experience with the product but I think the ads are hilarious - they always look like a couple of guys out on a date with each other!

I love my scorpio. Had the dealer install one when I bought the bike. I like that I know if someone is messing with my bike, not like when you find out hours later. the key fob vibrates like crazy if someone sets it off.

I put an Internatrix in my T100, 2 years ago. Installed it myself.
Satisfied, and it does everything as advertised.
Model TW-400. I remember it cost me like $149 in the door.
Perimeter alarm and it TALKS !
Passers by people, usualy walk by it 2-3 times just to hear the T100 talk. - Can be a bummer.
Insurance gave me 10% discount off policy catagory as well.

Immobiliser, perimeter alarm, remote, talks option, headlight and turns lights flash, chirps, flashing alarmed LED - mounts in my T100 dash as is in the Triumph hole, vibration sensor, main unit fit under my stock and K&Q seats no problem while I mounted controls behind side cover. Every thing but a backup battery. Scares the jump'n fur off my cats...

I believe it's the SR-i 500. Battery back up, plug n' play. Definitely gets attention when it goes off!!

I always feel like alarms on bikes are more good feeling to the owner than real theft stoppers. It just seems like unless the alarm has GPS or lojack or something, the theif would just throw the bike in the bed of a pickup and be off.

true, I do feel better. However, when I priced insurance before I bought the bike, the first question they asked was "does it have an alarm?". I'm hearing that more frequently from friends too.

Jackal does the scorpio have a perimeter alarm?

I was checking this guys Busa out in Riverside, CA and I didn't even touch the bike, was only inches from it and the bike chirped and warned me to back away LOL.

I liked that feature, keeps the youngin's from getting on and thinking they're cool around their buddies.

Tattoo -- yep the Scorpio has a perimeter alarm OPTION. I bought it with mine and like it, however adjusting the sensitivity is pretty sensitive--no pun inteded. A very small move on the dial and the perimeter changes pretty drastically. My sounds the warning chirps if you lean over the tank area. Overall, very happy with the Scorpio. As somebody said earlier, it's true, as with any antitheft device, if someone wants it bad enough they will take it regardless of an alarm/deterent. The Scorpio just makes the more casual crooks/miscretants think twice and move on.
