Other Motorcycle: I wish- Daytona 675
Extra Motorcycle: I pray- Street Triple R
Thanks for the info, researched it directly from scorpio and came up with this price:

Pretty pricey, but I'm sure worth every penny, I'll wait till after I get the bike to purchase it.

I have a Scorpio SR500i on the 675. Also got the immobiliser option. Quite happy with the alarm, it functions quite well. The perimeter sensor is pretty good, though you have to be careful to set it low enough that pedestrians don't trigger it hahaa.... Nice and loud too! But you can arm it with or with the proximity sensor active which is convenient.

I'm an electronics engineer, and know this type of electronics well. It's definitely a quality product. The only thing I don't like about it is the current consumption. It's on the high side, and very high with the proximity sensor. I measured it accuracy using an oscilloscope to take the readings. I always use a battery tender when at home, so doesn't bother me. But I wouldn't leave it arm with the proximity sensor for a couple of weeks.

If a thief wants your bike, they'll take it. But if you make it hard enough or impede the ability of the thieves, then you have a better chance of them leaving it and finding another bike to swipe.

Thanks, Eclipze. Great first hand info. I'm sold on it and plan on buying one within a few months.

There's always the Gorilla 2-way pager alarm too. Same features (no perimeter sensor though) for $180.

I, too, wanted (and even ordered) an alarm that notified me of every thing going on with the bike (how/what/why it alarmed). A friend opened my eyes by posing me this question: "if it alarms, what are you going to do? Run to your bike and find your bike there with no one near it because the alarm scared off the violator?". He was right. I DONT want to know EVERY time the alarm goes off (could be ...more likely WILL be...fiddlers). Plus my friend warned me about the battery drain (yes it will suck your battery dry in a matter of days, not to mention void your warranty if you tap your wires). So I have heeded such advice and settled on an XENA XR1 disc lock alarm. LOVE IT! It's so small it fits under my (limited) underseat storage area, doesn't use ANY bike battery, AND will alarm without scaring the heck out me for NO reason! I only wish it had an LED light to warn off fiddlers. $75 usd.
