Cramp Buster

I used a Cramp Buster recently and have mixed feelings about it. It goes on and comes off quite easily, and the rubber band is not needed for Bonneville grips. I tried it in several locations on the grip: left, center, right, and center worked best for me. However, using it seemed worse than not having it [I have M bars]. It was kind of awkward having a protrusion from the throttle while not at highway speeds; I always knew it was there. I got a numbness at the end of my fingers that was so noticable that I removed the piece. I found that with the M bars, my slightly forward lean can put sufficient pressure on the throttle that I can unwrap my fingers when needed to change up from the full grip and get a break.

Ahh, but for ten bucks, it's cheap enough to experiment with.

hand cramping

i had a problem with hand cramping and numbness when I first got my 06 bonnie, now I just relax more and dont grip so hard. also, the "dancing" in a side wind worried me, but now I just let it go, the bike is stable and not really going to get blown into the other lane with a gust of wind.

Tried a cramp buster a couple years ago, took it off after a few rides. It was okay on the highway when adjusted for a typical cruising throttle position. The problem was that when back in town where the throttle is not opened as much it was then sitting up too high, basically in the way.

Throttle Rocker too

I've used a throttle rocker, which is the same idea, and had great success with it... any throttle lock device is a real must on any long trip... lucky for me I can use the Oring trick on my ST

Bring back the throttle friction screw. I had one on a BMW a while back and it works a treat. I miss it on the Tigger.

My throttle rocker thingy works real well. I put it to the outside edge, then rotate it out of my way for city srtreet riding.

Read somewhere about using an O-ring between the throttle and end cap. Works great and for about $1.00.
