I have just been given a Garmin nuvi 300 Deluxe for my birthday by my future wife :-D
It fits well on the bike and also in the car and the batterie last about 6hrs i will have to get it connected to the bike... :hammer:
I was just wondering what you all have and if you are happy with your GPS or if you hate them.

I've had my Garmin 2610 w/1gig mem card for several years and love it ... don;t get a GPS with a Hard Drive as the vibrations tend to trash the drive mechanics...

Garmin Zumo 550, and I'm really happy with it. My wife mocked me at first, especially for the expense. We're on a trip right now (caging), and it's found us a point of interest several times as well as re-routed us when we got a call and had to head back unexpectedly ... and now she's sold on it.

I have a Magellan Explorist 600 w/ a2GB SD card in it. I have fit the entire USA on the SD Card. Woks great on my tank bag thru the window. Additionally, I have a removable mount for when I do not use my tank bag,. Very happy with it due to size and mobility. :hammer:

Also Bluetooth, MP3 player, Fuel gauge, POI import, XM compatible, FM TMC traffic receiver, Speed camera alert, on line updates. As far as I know, this is the only GPS designed for motorcycles. Others can be used but they do not have the features or convenience of the Zumo.

I borrowed a Nuvi 500 - the automotive equivalent to the Zumo, for a recent trip on the bike. It was great - headphone jack for voice prompts, SD card slot to play music, and really intuitive. It slid nicely into my tank bag.

The good thing about the Nuvi's is they can be had significantly cheaper. That said, I'm holding out for a Zumo w/MP3 & Bluetooth to drop below $500 - the motorcycle specific features sound like must-haves to me.

So I'd have to go with the Zumo too. Some day, I fully expect to buy a GPS with all the features I want, that has an 8in x 11in flexible screen. Then I will be truly happy.

Blackberry rocks!! Full GPS w audio and bluetooth. No external antenna or external power source required. I just velcro it to an aluminum plate cable-tied to the dogbone.

Zumo 550 - Worth the extra $$$$ - just did 6k+ trip and will never , and I mean never - do another trip without one, - Your nuvi is a good unit, but I wouldn't use it on the bike - not water or vibration friendly. Zumo is made to take a lickin and the large buttons are perfect if you pull to the side of the road to do a reroute and don't feel like taking off your gloves.

The ability to sit in front of your 'puter with Mapsource, pick out all the best ridin' roads then upload them to your Quest or Zumo and go for a ride - Got to be a Garmin...
