Hey All,

I have a yellow 05 Daytona 955i and was thinking that the rear hugger is a good idea as after only a couple hundred miles this year the whole area is a mess. Anyone know where the best place is to look for a good value hugger?

Also, while at it I was thinking of a fender eliminator. Anyone suggest something specific? I would like to get rid of the turn signals altogether so I was looking at the Clear Alternative integrated rear brake light/ turnsignal all-in-one. Does anyone have experience with those? Anything else similar I should look into?

Thanks,
Heath

While at it, I am looking for feedback from people who have done agressive fender ilimination project on whether or not they find themselves pulled over becasue of any tail mods they made.

I really like the clear alternatives integrated tail light and signals but my dealer is quite confident it will be a ticket magnet.

Thoughts and experiences?

Best,
Heath

I have a clearalternatives on my bike and have never been stopped. I have never heard of anyone getting stopped because of a clearalternative light. Are there any laws against them in your state?

There actually is no law here in CT regarding turn signals. A motorcyclist is required to signal for turns, but they don't say how. A friend with a vintage Harley prefers hand signals to turn signals .

I have a DIY integrated turn/tail that's works the same as the clear alternative. I've never had any troubles, or heard of anyone who has around here.

That said, I don't feel totally comfortable with that as my only turn signals. I'm planning to spend an afternoon with the dremel & soldering iron and install LED's in my passenger peg brackets. Whether I'm following the letter of the law will became unimportant if I get rear-ended while waiting to make a left turn. I've always thought I'd make a poor hood ornament. :hammer:

I ordered a carbon fiber hugger and ermax undertail from

http://www.streetfightersbydesign.co...ighterhome.htm

A lot faster delivery then expected, and cheaper price then expected too. I was iffy about the direction light LED's that came with the ermax, so I bought the clear alternatives integrated signal as well. Talk about REALLY easy to install.....wow !!!

So far I haven't had any issues with the police, but I'm Canadian. Our provincial police are a lot nicer than your state troopers.
