I just got a copy of
"Motorcycle Journeys Through The Appalachians" by Dale Coyner (ISBN 1-884313-48-5)
I have done a number of armchair trips, and I highly recommend it.
Book contains 35 different 120-270 mile loops going from PA, WV, MA, VA, NC, SC KY. Crisp maps, turn by turn directions, and extensive descriptions and points of interest along the way. All printed on quality shiny heavy stock paper with color photographs on most pages.
My new personal goal is to do all 35. Going to shoot for at least 10 this summer on an extended tour. :-D
