I recently picked up a pair of Etymotic earplugs for attending concerts, and finally had the chance to use them last nite - they are GREAT at reducing the noise across the entire bass-treble spectrum. I could hear the band clearly AND I could hold a conversation with friends in between bands without ever having to mutter a single "HUH? What'd you say?".

My only problem with them is that the hard plastic stems stick out a little too far to comfortably put on a helmet.

I did see these that seem to have a short stem.

Anyone have any experience with MotoSafe earplugs who can offer up some feedback?

Thanks.

The etymotics plastic piece, according to their literature, is a 'tuned port' to allow a consistent reduction across the whole range of sound frequencies we can hear. I don't know how much of that is true, but they're not cheap, so I'd be hesitant to do any cutting...

That said, I have nothing useful to add
