A friend (who also rides) loaned me his Plantronics Backbeat 903+ Bluetooth Stereo Headset to try out.

I've use this for a few days and this looks like just the ticket. Sound quality is good and I was still able to hear the music while running at 70 (+ ) MPH with my EMGOs.

The design is comfortable (after you get them adjusted right) and work well with my open face helmet with shield. One thing I like about them is that they stay in place and don't shift when putting on or removing your helmet. The other thing is that the ear bud portion does not completely seal your ear off so you can adjust the volume and hear back ground noises.

The other thing I like is that they have a 7 hour run time and a quick touch of a button will give you a voice command of remaining run time.

I used them last night on my way home from work. Took the "long" way home with the music player running and also my Navigation. Navigation directions over road the music when coming up on turns then the music resumed.

Stopping in my regular watering hole on the way I was able to remove helmet, turn down volume so I could talk to people while hydrating and then when leaving up the volume and put on my helmet all without touching the set (used phone controls).

Best part is that these can be had for < $50.

Here here!!! Short of their software not being compatible with Macintosh computers, I love my sensa! I have a headset on each helmet I own and just swap out the Bluetooth unit. Takes .5 second.

Anyone mount a Sena 10 on a Nolan flip up? I am thinking of a Nolan 104 for my next lid, but don't want to pay Nolan price for their Bluetooth unit that may not transfer to another helmet.

I am sure by now you have probably purchased a headset for your music, but if you haven't (and for the benefit of anyone else reading this thread looking for input) I have the UClear headset duncan67 mentioned.

I haven't had it for a real long time, maybe close to 1000 miles. But I love it. It took a few tries to get the speakers positioned just right for optimal hearing (and talking for the occasional phone call I get on the bike). Everyone I've ever talked to couldn't even tell I was on a motorcycle. I listen to Pandora through bluetooth to my iPhone mostly.

The biggest complaint that I have noticed (and heard about) is that the buttons on the helmet mount are difficult to distinguish and press, especially with gloves. Many people have fixed this by putting the little pads that you'd find on the back of a cupboard door. That way they can feel the different buttons. I haven't tried this, and don't have too much trouble just turning the volume up/down, but anything else I have not been able to do while riding.
