X-posted from some other place,
In the for what it's worth category, I installed the Scorpio rLink SR-i1100 SE Alarm System. I also purchased the factory connector harness for '04 to '10 Triumph. The install took about 4 hours but the biggest problem was finding space for everything in the T-Bird and being able to secure it. Took some minor mods here and there under the side covers but I got it all in there. With the factory harness the install is pretty straight forward and all the connectors for the Siren, RFID Antenna, Proximity Sensor etc. have unique fittings making it fairly impossible to screw it up. When all is said and done it seems to work as advertised, I signed up for the unlimited data plan allowing full access to the Alarm MCM from my iPhone or any computer for just normal ride tracking and recording or in the event of an Alarm (or anytime) you can instantly check the location of the bike. They have a speical provision for Law Enforcement tracking as well from any mobile computer equipped for internet access. Not like Lojack that requires a special tracker that many LE agencies don't have or can be bothered with. I like the RFID, just come with in a few feet and it disarms the alarm provided it sees the RFID tag on my key chain. I need to adjust the Prox sensor, seems to be just a tad over zealous for when it's in a parking structure and people walking to and from their cars. Over all seems to be an excellent Alarm and I like the tracking feature for trips, I or somebody else can log in and watch my progress or simply record it for later review. There is also an emergency feature should something go wrong you can signal for help. Seems like features from SPOT and LoJack and a top notch Alarm all rolled into one. About the same cost as the OEM Data Tool but I think it offers far more value given the features. My only complaint and not a significant one given the prox sensor is that it doesn't leverage the built-in LED on the T-Bird for Security. If you can get close enough to see that LED your going to get warned by some siren chirps that more is to come. I give this Alarm a big thumbs up over the OEM.
