Received my first comm system today......

I must have researched this purchase for almost a month looking at Autocom, Starcom, Scala, Interphone, etc. I read a ton of reviews on them all.
I decided on the Sena SMH10. I received it today via 2 day priority mail included in the sale price of $165.00
I charged the unit and downloaded the Sena Manager on my MAC. Uploaded the latest software and charged it.
I have an iPhone 4 and a Zumo 550. I paired the iPhone to the headset first since it was already paired with the Zumo. The phone worked flawlessly but the Zumo would drop out from time to time. I had heard this might happen but wanted to try anyway. I then deleted the pairing of the Zumo to the iPhone and paired the Zumo to the headset. Everything worked perfectly. I can receive calls, get directional prompts, and listen to music. The voice control of the iPhone negated having to have the phone paired with the Zumo. I received several calls and made several calls. Sund quality was great. I did not have the wind buffer on the mic so some could here a little wind noise above 40 mph. I have now install the wind buffer clip so I will try it out tomorrow night.
I hit the interstate and the music was plenty load at 80 mph. When you get a call the music fades out and when you finish the call the music fades back in. I am really impressed with the quality and ease of use. The Scala has like 6 buttons. The Sena has one button and the jog dial. You can use it for several different things like volume control or scrolling through a music playlist.
If your in the market for a new headset, check them out.

Mac version? Fantastic! My next system will not be another Scala... Have to borrow my daughter's netbook to make changes.

Yeah, the Scala looked to be too cumbersome to use with gloves. That and how do you remember all off the button locations for the functions?

Yes. I like it so much I am ordering another one for the spare helmet. That way the wife or kids can talk to me when they ride pillion.
Now I just need to find lower foot pegs for the pillion.

Not only o they support MAC but the new software allows you to talk to up to 4 people at the same time. Not 4 different people one at a time.

Mate has one and the jog dial is definitely easier. Individual volume control for each audio source is a good thing too.

ChatterBox XBi Bluetooth Intercom Full Face Headset

I just took this off my helmet because I had too much trouble with the buttons with my gloves.
