Protective Sweater/Shirt

I am trying to find a sweater/long sleeve shirt that has the protection/padding (elbows at least) built in that can be worn underneath a regular leather jacket.

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

(sorry if this has already been covered, I just joined)

I bought this not too long ago. Overall it's a nice piece. BUt here are some considerations.

1. It does in fact restrict movement. I listen to an mp3 player when I ride and use a bandana to tie around my upturned jacket collar to conceal the wires running up my neck. I cannot tie this bandana easily while wearing the bionic.

2. It's likely going to require that you size-up in your jacket for it to fit underneath, or if you have an armored jacket, pull the armor out and see if it'll fit comfortably then.

3. It tends to get a little hot.

4. The straps which hold the waist down are small and tend to come loose, which has the effect of choking you when they unfasten and you raise your arms up. Good times.

If you dont mind these things or the cost, I dont think you can go wrong. It's one of the few armored undershirts with CE-2 spine protection and two-section chest with a center zipper, so it can easily be unzipped after you undo your jacket for a little more comfort.

I bought one for an un-armored jacket, then sold it and bought an armored jacket. I'm thinking of selling the Bionic now even though I've barely worn it twice.

FWIW.
