JAcket Recommendations
Does anyone have any recommendations for Spring/Summer riding jacket? Something that would be light but offer protection. With or without armour. I ride Speedmaster so something cruiserlike would be great.

Iron Pony is selling Icon perforated leather jackets for $99.00! Check out their website. Quality seems very good: thick leather, YKK zippers, comfortable (and removable) armor. Whats not to like?

I'v had one of these for several years and have no complaints

It vents very well on hot days. I haven't tried the armor out .

Alpinestars has a nice summer jacket. There are straps on the sleeves that allow you to tighten them up and avoid the pads from moving. It's great in hot weather and "new enough" (newenough.com) has some good prices.

I always recommend http://www.newenough.com/ to anybody who asks. They are great people, and always have a section called "hard to fit?" (great for tall people like me, as well as short folks, heavy people (I'm also getting there, too), etc.)
A good selection, and good pics and writeups for all. A closeout section, too.
No, I don't work there. I do buy from them whenever I'm looking, and have yet to be disappointed.

The Triumph jacket I own is the best of the five. Quality is outstanding. If you can afford one, I doubt you'd ever regret the purchase. My 2 cents.

I've always had a durable joe rocket. Plain black with the ballistic nylon. Great venting and handles spring into summer well with the removable liner.

I really like the Scorpion Stinger. It's super heavyweight, but vented and very breathable. Good ventalated armor, and mesh innards.
Of all the jackets I own, it hasn't ripped or fallen apart in one seam yet.
The liner makes it a good cold weather jacket, but with the liner out, it's very airy and I wear it all summer. I ride a cruiser too, and I think it's a nice mix of "sport" and "cruiser" looks.
I have the Triumph Rivton jacket, which is nice, but not really vented enough to wear in the summer, and not warm enough for cold weather. It's certainly comfy for the Speedmaster riding position, I think you'll find a lot more "sport" style jackets suit the Speedmaster riding position than "cruiser" jackets.
