tuneECU fuel gauge problem -02 D955i
Forgive me for asking but i havent really seen a clear response for this problem.
A few weeks ago my check engine light came on again. I assumed it would go away like before but it remained. The low fuel light would came on and off several times after filling up. Looked like my fuel level sensor was acting up. I finally got my tuneECU up and running and pulled the errors. It yielded
P0135 - oxygen circuit malfunction
P0353 - ignition coil 3 circuit malfunction
P1353 - ignition coil 3 open circuit or short circuit to battery
P1351 - ignition coil 1 open circuit or short circuit to battery
P0230 - fuel pump to relay default
P1231 - fuel pump relay open circuit or short ground
P0460 - fuel level sensor malfunction
I know the fuel pump is functioning properly. Only error code that seemed to make sense was the fuel level error. So I cleared those and immediately the next day on my way to work the CEL came back on. Pulled it again that night and only gave me the code
P0463 - fuel sensor circuit high input
Which again makes sense. I read somewhere (on here on the threat I cannot relocate) that "it is better to fix the sensor than replace it with an OEM one" -deano. Has anyone written a DIY for just this thing cause if so I haven't found it?
