TTP 2012 Scrambler map issues
Hi All,
Just received a package from TTP with the Breathe system, DNA filter, 02 elimination kit and I also took out the AI system and capped it off. Download the new 20513 map and things seemed to go well. also went through the adaptation routine. The bike now runs much stronger throughout the RPM range. My problem is that the check engine light was on after a ride to the gas station so I reattached the TuneEcu program and found that the bike is throwing off 3 error codes: 031/051/413. I tried 3 times to erase them but they pop back up. Any ideas?
Also I am noticing a significant increase in exhaust popping on deceleration. I was using the marble routine on the AI system before and had very little popping. Ideas?
Thanks!

Hi Dennis,
P0031 = Oxygen sensor heater open circuit/short to ground
P0413 = Secondary air injection system short circuit to ground or open circuit
P0051 ----I unfortunately do not know exactly, but it has also to do with the Oxygen sensor.
BR, Tom
Note:
Can it be that you have removed the Oxygen sensor and the SAI?
If so, You must the SAI and the Oxygen sensor in the map switch off .

Thanks Tom, TTP said their maps ship with the 02 off and the SAI on. Should I have disabled the SAI on the map before I downloaded it to the bike? If that is the case do I have to re-read my existing map before downloading the one with the SAI off?

NO, just bring it up on the screen from wherever it's stashed on your PC, uncheck the SAI (AI) and download it into the ecu as it it were a new map. The existing map will be overwritten.

If you're sure you've capped the cylinder head properly with copper washers under the AI plugs, and the silencer-header pipe and header pipe-cylinder head joints are airtight then the only thing left is a weak idle or bottom end mixture. Not easy to sort out with EFI short of re-mapping.
A word with Mike at TTP might come up with a suitable map recommendation:

If the 02 is off in the map, then I wonder about the DTC P0031.
The SAI in the map switch off only, when it was removed definitely or the wiring connection was interrupted intentionally.

I went back into the map I loaded onto the bike and it looks like both the 02 and SAI were enabled. I went back to my PC and disabled them there and will reload the map tomorrow to see if that solves the problem

Update: downloaded the TTP map with the 02 and SAI disabled to my Scrambler today and that solved the error code problems. Looks like on my original version both the 02 and SAI were enabled. Also got the green TPS light to come on after about 12 minutes of idling. That was a first! Thanks to everyone for their input
