dataloger and other tuneboy issues!
hi people ,
does any one have any idea why i can not access my dataloger on my speed triple tuneboy program
i have downloaded the datalogger program from there site ,as i did noy come on the disk they sent me,
but have no access to it the screen just comes up with two vertical lines!! also if i try and start logging by opening the tune edit program the start logging buttons on the drop down menu are still grey!
another couple of things are that ,i was under the impression that you could use power commander tunes in the tune boy program but when you try and and import these tunes, the program does not even recognise they are there ,also i have a speed triple 1050 and on my dash screen i have in bold letters 955i !
overall i am quite happy with the purchase of this tuneboy and have found there maps helpful but i still feel that i could get more out of the program if it would work fully
i dont seem to have any response on my support emails
so i am putting this on here so i may get some advise from you guys
thanks

No need to go to TuneEdit to start logging. If you are using the Data Logger V3, the Start logging button is at the bottom of the window. On smaller laptop screens the button does not fit into view and you might have to use the DataLoggerSmall.exe under TuneBoy directory, but this is lacking some of the functionality.
See pic of logger UI:

You are using the File->Apply Trim Map option, and your PC3 tune file is saved on your computer in the .map or .djm Dynojet format, right?

Yes, that is correct. The TuneBoy UI just has not been updated in ages, even though the program in the background has.
If this really bugs you, the gauge pictures are saved in TuneBoy/Skins dir as a .bmp/.jpg files. You can edit these to your liking in a graphics program.

Sorry, it has worked OK for me. I have been using the file downloadable from here:

Can you expand a little on the exact steps you are doing, I am not 100% I understood the problem?
You have the PC3 file on desktop
In TuneEdit, you open the basetune that matches your PC3 map
You select File->Apply Trim Map and find PC3 file from desktop
After import you see PC3 trims on "Fuel % Trim" tab
Then you save the TuneEdit tune file with the trims
Now next time you open TuneEdit tune file, the trim %s are missing? Is that the main prob now?

tune edit import pc3 drama.
hmm ,here goes.
well i go to file, in tune edit ,then from the drop down menu i choose open tune file,
then i open the folder which i have previously saved the desired tune ,
and what do i see "fark all" its well odd, i go back into the file from the desk top ,and they are there, but when i choose to open them from tune edit (which seems to be the only way to import them into trumpys brain)
they are like i said just not there, the whole folder is empty .
so yep zero % is there!!

You do need a TuneBoy base tune (.dat file). This must be the same tune that was used when the PC3 map was created (or otherwise the trims would make no sense). Open this first.
In addition to the above you need the PC3 file. You overlay this to the % tab via the "Apply Trim Map" selection. You must have the .dat file open.
You cannot open PC3 map alone as it is just a dumb fuel trim and is missing all the other Triumph stuff.
If you cannot see some file in open dialog, putting * into the Filename box + pressing enter should reveal all files.

I just downloaded the ZIP and copied all files from it to the TuneBoy program directory in C:\ drive. When I run logger I just run the main DataLogger.exe. This file is in the ZIP OK, I just checked the link.
The logger is quite primitive though. If you can't get it to work, you are not missing much.
