Curious?

What is going to be your next Daytona 675 aftermarket upgrade?

I am thinking about frame sliders and ASV shorty levers!

Whats yours?

Quick Shifter for the Track Bike and a 520 conversion going +2 on the rear sprocket, followed by a dyno tune of the Race ECM over the winter... but before any of that, I have to buy her a new pair of slicks...

I have to replace the #$@%!!! throttle cable. Shortened cable life is one of the pitfalls of having a feral bike.

First is an Arrow slip-on. Then a 520 conversion.. I'm not sure if I'm going +1 or +2 on the rear, haven't decided yet.
Then maybe some Woodcraft engine covers and lots of powdercoating.
If I have the extra cash to get this all done in the next 12 months then I will be a very happy man.

I washed and waxed mine yesterday. Still the most bang for the buck in terms of visual mods!

+2 is pretty short. I rode a friend of mine's 675 for a day at Road America w/ +2 gearing and I was hitting the limiter in 6th by the starting bridge on the front straight, the Sargento bridge leading up to T5, and again through Kettle Bottoms every lap. And just going through the gears it felt just too short, and seemed like it required more shifting because the range of each gear within the powerband was so small.

It might be perfect for some of the tighter tracks, though.

Do you know about how many mph you were going hitting the limiter in 6th with the +2 rear gearing? Just curious about how much it is chopping off the top end.

speedo would indicate 166 for a brief second, but thas pretty optimistic.
For comparison, Kevin Schwantz and the HMC racing crew were there that day on KTM Superduke R's (part of a Red Bull Rookie cup outing, they also had KTM 125s) I was not able to reel the Superdukes in on the straights at all. Now, if your not familiar with the Superduke, its a naked streetfighter bike with horrible aeros.

Gearingcommander.com says +2 is good for 146mph ACTUAL. That sounds about right.
