Question About Front Brake Rotors of 675

This may be a stupid question, but does anyone know if the front brake rotors of the 06-07 675 are supposed to have any play in between the "Brackets" holding it together? I am trying to see if they 2 front rotors are good to transfer onto another bike? Thanks

What Brackets are you referring to? The buttons that hold the rotor to the carrier?

If so, yes, there is play there. The rotors on the 675 are semi-floating, meaning that the rotors are free to move slightly from side to side on the carrier.

There is a spring washer that pushes the rotor in one direction on the carrier (that is why they are referred to as semi-floating), but when pushed on they will move back and forth.
