Exhaust

My 675 is about a week old (exciting!!), and I want to keep most things stock, but I feel that need to upgrade the exhaust from OEM.
Does anyone have any comments on the Trident? I like that it still has the 3 outlets and looks good with the heat shield, doesn't venture too far from the original look.

Congrats on you new Daytona 675, I've had mine for about 3 months now and have about 2700 miles on it now. I love my bike as well. But as for the aftermarket exhaust, I too also wanted something that looked somewhat stock. But it was hard finding something that matched, maybe the Jardine exhaust was a little close. But the Jardine exhaust stuck out to far past the rear pillon seat and I didnt like that. I finally bought a M5 Two Brothers Exhaust, it also comes with a fender elmimator kit. I always get compliments on it. I am not sure about the Trident exhaust, have not seen any or heard them running. Anyways, enjoy your ride and be safe bro!

So you guys who have purchased aftermarket exhausts, if you've kept the original bits, I'd be interested in purchasing the silver plastic tailpiece that goes over the 3 exhaust outlets. Please PM me and we can talk. Thanks.

TOR exhaust

Guys, if you want that "factory" look but an increase in power, go with the TOR system from Triumph. Is says "for offroad use only" because it doesn't meet street legal requirements, but it looks like the factory exhaust, sounds absolutely awesome, and gives the bike an extra kick in the pants to boot. VERY glad its on my rig.

If the TOR exhaust gives the bike the same extra 'umph' as other after market slip-ons then I'm all for it.
On the Triumph website all it says is "enhance tonal quality" and I can't find performance specs anywhere.

Not sure what the actualy performance numbers are, but I have the TOR on both my bikes. I can tell you that when running down the front straight at Grattan and Putnam next to a friend's 675 with a full Arrow Stage 1 exhaust, there was no difference in acceleration.

There is a significant weight savings with the full Arrow system or other full titainium systems, but if you don't plan on taking the bike to the track, then the weight savings is insignificant.

I will probably eventually replace my TOR on my track bike with an Arrow Stage 2 full titainium exhaust, but the street bike will stay with the TOR.

Fast Bikes had a D675 last season and tried all the various exhaust on it. They liked the sound of the TOR but it gave no gain whatsoever according to them. They were most impressed with Scorpion for gain up to 112 hp. It was generally agreed that the Stage 1 or 2 Arrow was the way to go for the TREMENDOUS loss of weight, upwards to 20 lbs?!?!? Personally, I am keeping the stock system for awhile as I just like the three holes.

+1.
I have one on my bike. it may not make as much power as some of the third party systems but it looks as close to the stock system as you can get and it does make a fabulous noise.

Thanks guys,
I was skeptical of the TOR over the other after market exhausts because of Triumph's very vague descriptions of it. I love the look of the stock exhaust, but want a bigger/beefier sound, that smoothes out 1st gear a bit, and would be great if it tacked on a few hp and pulled off a couple pounds. From your responses sounds like the TOR is the way to go, especially being cheaper then any other!
