I have used all kinds of oil in the past, and they all work. Right now, I have the official oil in it, but usually it has Panolin oil in it, because they are one of my race sponsors. I have also used Motorex (great stuff because it is coolant green), Royal Purple, and a few others I can't remember now. They all work fine as long as you change the oil regularly.
