Clutch Cable.

Hi Crew!
Sounding quite like a foundling, I need to get some help in clutch cable removal. I am installing the Pazzos, and found a nice link a 675.net, but the doggone thing just won't give me enough slack to pull it through the crack. Any advise (besides selling my tools)?

Brooksie,

Turn the cable adjustor screw all the way into the lever perch to maximize free play. Then, sort of bend the lever backwards from the normal direction of travel with the pivot bolt already removed. That should allow the cable to slide out. Reverse this procedure on the installation. Make sure you put the brass bushing in the one side (can't remember which now, but it should be obvious).

Make sure you adjust the free play in the cable after you complete the installation.

No problem... Make sure you leave a little bit of free play in the cable so that your clutch doesn't slip... I had mine adjusted too tight on the track bike on Sunday and on my first trip around the track on the new bike I would get clutch slippage at about 10,000 RPM on the front straight. Dailed back in a little free play in the cable and the problem went away...
