Owner of a 2006 675...and here are things I've encountered...(but I believe my bike officially had the worst of all problems)
FIRST, THE WORST...I had an electrical gremlin that had the dealer scratching there heads for a couple of MONTHS. Turns out it was an exposed wire where it was a wire leading to the purge valve. What happened was when the bike was weighted, it brought this wire low enough to rub on the front sprocket. After the dealership found this problem, they checked all other 675s and noticed that my bike was the only one with this problem (I guess my bike was built on either a Friday or Monday)
SECOND...WATCH you battery!!! I blew fuses and it was all because of a dead battery. All because I didn't run my bike for 2 weeks. The battery is crap for our bikes considering all the electronics on there. Be sure you have a battery tender and have it hooked up to it when you're not running it.
THIRD...(and this is something that can kill you if it happens at the wrong time). Make sure that the bolt holding on the steering damper is tight. There have been cases of the bolt being loose and not being able to turn the bike all the way to due to the bold hitting the suspension brace. Add this to your "pre-ride" check list
FOURTH...but I think it pertains to 2006 and early 2007s...there was a recall sent out on our bikes. It turns out the emergency killswitch would fry the ECU. You can easily check if your bike is under recall status by entering the VIN number on the Triumph Website.
FIFTH (not really a problem but more of a nuisance). The exhaust head hitting your right leg. Make sure to always wear pants.
7900 a decent price....I would think so
P.S....screw yellow....and screw red...GRAPHITE is the FASTEST
