Smart Moto EXUP Eliminator issues

Hi Guys, wondering if you could help a guy in distress sorry not a damsel today, as per title states the story as follows - ok so I removed the exup servo / motor and the cables from the original exhaust a week ago due to exup sticking issues and of course I had an FI light with the error code for the exup valve showing on Tuneecu but the bike was running fine with a few extra db's from the 2 brothers can I have, I then bought the above mentioned product from ebay and plugged it into where the exup motor connected (with the battery terminals d/c'd in an attempt to sneek up on the ecu). I then reconnected the battery and tried to turn her over with no joy - it wouldn't start at all, I then disconnected the battery and removed the eliminator and tried starting again and she fired up... BUT when I tried to rev her she would die / stumble, I can roll the throttle on very slowly and it will go to approx 8500rpm max. I then connected my phone (with the eliminator removed still) to read error codes P0078 - (EXHAUST CONTROL VALVE CICUIT MALFUNCTION) and P0107 - (MAP SENSOR SHORT CIRCUIT TO GROUND) and P0122 - (THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR LOW VOLTAGE SHORT TO GROUND OR OPEN CIRCUIT) .

I cleared the codes and restarted many times but they don't go away. i then tried it again with the eliminator plugged in and she would not start again with the following codes showing P0122 - (THROTTLE POSTIONING SENSOR AGAIN) and P1698 - (SENSOR SUPPLY BATTERY MALFUNCTION).

so i thought since P0122 is showing i would check the wires with a meter - i checked the pink wire at the plug before the TPS and it shows 0.08v ..... i read on on google somewhere it should read 5v and that this feed from the ecu signals the map sensor and other stuff aswell could the ECU be Kaput? how can i test this?

I also checked on tuneecu with the engine off the TPS shows 0.1v when throttle closed and 0.6v when @ WOT - i have heard this should be 0.6v when closed??

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance - The new guy Chris

What product did you buy from eBay and plug into your bike? That's the issue I'm reading what you wrote right. It's a little confusing. If you have TuneECU, you might be able to load a map that is meant for use without the EXUP valve. As far as the rest, I'm afraid I don't know what the voltages should be.

Sorry about that not the easiest situation to explain, the product I bought was a Smart Moto EXUP valve eliminator the company has a facebook page also.... they claim the situation has nothing to do with there product as it is on a separate circuit... I thought the ecu sent a signal to the servo / motor to open? so it is linked? anyway yes I could try a map but don't understand why it is running like this after I plug the Eliminator in? it ran fine before I plugged that in now even when the eliminator is not plugged in it runs rough idle and wont rev properly...if i try to snap the throttle back it dies or if I roll it on it doesn't go past 8500 rpm
when the eliminator is plugged in it doesn't start at all.

20417Map.hex* OEM ** md5checksum
Use with Arrow complete system. Fuel up to E10. Minimum 95 RON (89 RON/MON) fuel. * * * * ** * * Replaces the 20110

should I load the bottom 1? 20417?

i have a power commander i bought also at the same time but i put that in with a custom map on after trying the Eliminator but it wouldn't start at all so i removed it again.

so i tried the other map with no success, i loaded the map then d/c'd the battery reconnected erased the fault codes and they were back just with turning the ignition off and on with an added couple of codes 1 for ambient pressure and something else....no code for exup valve tho! but in the end no success... i might try and change the ecu and the tps but fear i may be opening another can of worms for myself i.e. buying things for nothing that need professionaly installed. which will cost more in the end and get the issue resolved without further harm is the 2 key points - me doing process of elimination or a bike garage like dynotech or some such that will be able to resolve it quicker and safer?

hmmm what to do what to do.
