675 On/off Switch Recall

Hi all. New to the Forum. Been meddling over in the Cafe/Classics Forum and after continuously getting smoked by my friends on thier Duc's, I decided to add another toy to my collection and give myself a reason to hang out over here on the 675 Forum.

I picked my up my 07 a month ago (and love love love it, btw) and while at the dealership, pleaded with them to make sure they got all the 'recall' work done on the bike before I picked it up. I heard there were a number of updates to the bike so I thought I'd push them to help me not have to immediately come back for work (the dealer opens late and closes early making it tough for me to get them the bike with my work schedule).

Anyway, I had the bike for two days when they called me to bring the bike back to have the on/off switch electronics fixed...grrr. Have you guys had the work done...and when were you alerted to it?

The dealer should take care of all the recall notices when you bring your bike in for servicing. The kill switches on the 675 sometimes spike and fry the ECU. So make sure to shut your bike down with the key. Check for future recalls here http://www.triumph.co.uk/uk/7094.aspx?vin

yeah, my problem seems to be that the dealer doesn't take care of all the recall issues when they have the bike, causing me to have to unnecessarily bring it back. thanks for the link...
